About Us

Our aim is to be the best at what we do, and part of that is to provide employees with a superb place to work. Wherever you are in the world, all our companies share a single philosophy: to have the best people in the best workplaces creating the best products in our field.

Cutting edge – Norbar’s state-of-the-art factory facilities ensure we provide the very latest design, manufacturing and quality control technology to achieve the highest level of innovation and precision in the field of torque control equipment.

Family values – Descendants of the founder, Bill Brodey, still participate in the business and the company remains every bit as passionate about providing customers with the highest quality products and services as Bill was when manufacturing that first torque wrench.

Our Larger Family – Norbar is a member of the Snap-on Incorporated family of companies and is proud to be part of a company which has beliefs, values and a vision closely aligned with those that Norbar was founded on.

We appreciate that applying for a new role can be a daunting process. It’s therefore important to us that you are advised promptly of the outcome of your application. We will let you know via email if your application is unsuccessful. If your application is successful we will contact you either by phone or email to arrange a suitable interview time.

For the majority of vacancies, the first interviews usually last no longer than 45 minutes. You will be interviewed by at least two panel members which would include an HR representative and the Appointing Manager.

Usually yes, although for some fixed term contracts there may only be one interview in which case this is likely to include time in the factory or in the team for which you are applying. Our 2nd interviews often last 3-4 hours, giving you time to meet key stakeholders, team members and may involve appropriate testing. It is key you know as much as possible about the role and life at Norbar.

In accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006, you must provide evidence that you have the right to work in the United Kingdom. We usually check this on your second interview, but if we are checking sooner than this (usually in the case of a fixed term contract) we will advise you of this in your confirmation of interview email.

We will advise you on interview when you will hear the outcome of your interviews. It will depend on how many candidates we are seeing and how many roles there are. We do, however, like to move as fast as we can and there may be some occasions when we tell you on the same day.

If you are interested in working for us, but we don’t have the role you are looking for currently please email your CV to recruit@norbar.com
