Norbar Torques Aviation at Farnborough

Norbar Torque Tools is back at this year’s Farnborough International Airshow Trade Exhibition 9-13 July, displaying a range of maintenance support instruments for both the military and civil aviation sectors. Norbar is a world leading specialist in the design, development and production of torque tightening and measuring equipment, which play a vital role in maintaining the performance, reliability and longevity of vital aerospace equipment.

Norbar’s offers a wide range of precision tools for aerospace such as torque wrenches, multipliers and measurement equipment. These include:

  • Professional torque wrenches resistant to Skydrol® and other aviation hydraulic fluids
  • Norbar Handtorque™ torque multipliers
  • Norbar T-Box™, with its PC based Torque Data management Software (TDMS),  provides a complete torque audit and data management solution
  • USM-3 Ultrasonic Bolt Meter, capable of calculating the elongation and load of threaded fasteners ranging from the smallest sizes to over 15m long

With its manufacturing base in Banbury, Oxfordshire, there are Norbar companies in Australia, China, India, New Zealand, Singapore and the USA. The company has a worldwide network of calibration laboratories located in the UK (accredited by UKAS), the USA (NVLAP), Singapore (SAC-SINGLAS) and China (TAF).

Celebrating its 70th Anniversary this year, Norbar can be visited at Stand C9 Hall 1. The company has a long connection with aerospace engineering, being the first in Britain to commercially manufacture torque wrenches in the 1940s specifically for the Rolls Royce Merlin engine.
