Hydraulic WrenchesHydraulic Wrenches

Specifically designed for extremely low height access applications, our Hydraulic Torque Wrenches offer a cost efficient option to handle a wide range of bolt tightening and break-out needs.

Our standard Sqaure Drive Series features eight different tools with capacities ranging from 100 to 60,000 lbf.ft of torque using a 10,000 p.s.i hydraulic pump. Our robust and lightweight aluminium body completely encloses the drive train assembly keeping the crucial lubricant inside the tool while significantly reducing the opportunity for outside elements to contaminate inside of the tool.

Hex drive

The inline hydraulic ratchet wrenches require minimum clearance while applying torque on the same plane as the nut, providing a marked improvement over square drive socket wrenches. Our design breakthrough reduces the overall dimensions of the inline ratcheting head allowing it to fit almost every applications. Our standard Hydraulic Cylinder/Link Series features seven different wrenches with capacities ranging from 100 to 50,000 lbf.ft of torque using a 10,000 p.s.i. hydraulic pump.

Hydraulic Tensioners

  • Reduces maintenance downtime.
  • Improves safety on the job.
  • Gives reliable and precise tensioning.
  • Is user friendly - fast to fit and remove.
  • Requires little physical effort.
  • Is suited for confined spaces or difficult locations.
  • Withstands hostile environments.
  • Is compatible with standard off the shelf seals.
  • Only requires low pressure tensioners.
  • Local manufacturer ensures fast delivery, installation and maintenance.

HYDRAJAC - used in oil rigs....

Typical HYDRAJAC applications are found in many industries, including:

                • Mining and Quarrying
                • Oil Drilling
                • Marine
                • Power Generation
                • Agricultural
                • Structural
                • Heavy Equipment in General Industry

HYDRAJACS or HYDRANUTS can be coupled with a manifold to produce even tensioning.

HYDRAULIC STUD AND BOLT TENSIONERS FOR EVERY APPLICATION.

Hydraulic Nuts and Tensioners

The HYDRANUT - A precision engineered, high pressure, high performance, hydraulically operated bolt tensioning device that can be quickly and easily fitted and used with standard pumping equipment (eg. 10,000 psi pump).

It is manufactured in a choice of steel or stainless steel of tensile strength to suit the required application.

  • Reducing maintenance down time - fast to fit and remove.
  • Gives reliable and precise tensioning.
  • Very suitable for confined spaces or difficult locations.
  • Requires little physical effort.
  • Withstands hostile environments.

HYDRANUT has built a reputation of high quality, and it is this pedigree that is behind our new high quality products:

Hydranut Components

  1. Nut body which screws onto the bolt thread.
  2. Screw thread in bore of nut body, made to suit individual bolts.
  3. Piston with outside butressed screw thread to accept locking ring.
  4. Lockring to retain the load when hydraulic pressure is released.
  5. High pressure seals.
  6. Grub screw and ball valve for pressure release.
  7. High pressure inlet with nipple connection.
  8. Holes for insertion of 'C' spanner to nip tight nut body and locking ring.
  9. Spherical washer designed to self correct seating and bolt misalignments.

HYDRANUT OPERATION

The HYDRANUT assembly is hand screwed onto the bolt until the base is tight against th working face. It is then nipped tighter with 'C' wrench.

Hyrdraulic pressure is then applied by a pressure gun, through the nipple fitting on top of the nut body into the sealed chamber, forcing the piston and the nut body apart thus stretching and tensioning the bolt through the joint.

The threaded lockring, mounted on the piston, is then screwed back and hand tightened to retain the induced load tension in the bolt. The pressure is then simply released and pressure gun removed from the nipple fitting, to complete the operation.

To remove the HYDRANUT, pressure is reapplied through the nipple fitting to unload the lockring. The internal pressure is then relieved and the HYRDANUT can be removed easily.

No major physical force, large wrenches or torque spanners are required to correctly fit and remove the HYDRANUT.
