Big Break Brings Accuracy and Safety to Torque Tool

If you want a tough, reliable and accurate torque wrench for applications from 100 to 1500 N·m (70 to 1000 lbf·ft) that is easy to use even in hostile environments, then the Norbar Industrial Torque Wrench is really the only choice.

Developed continuously from the wrench that launched Norbar into torque tools 60 years ago, its main secrets are the large break angle and smooth operation.

The large break angle brings two benefits that are unmatched by other high capacity torque wrenches. Firstly, the large break angle gives the operator plenty of time to halt his momentum and hence prevent him from applying more torque after the wrench has signalled. The “break” is controlled by a gently angled cam, which will ensure that the operator can always stay safely in balance.

Secondly, regardless of the amount of noise or vibration in the operating environment, the signal that this wrench gives to the operator cannot be missed either visually or by feel.

Extremely popular in the bus and truck maintenance markets, the Industrial Wrench, unlike many high capacity wrenches, has a ratchet. And it is a ratchet of very high quality with four ratchet pawls in simultaneous engagement, making it almost unbreakable in normal use.

There are five models in the range covering torque settings from 100 to 1500 N·m (70 to 1000 lbf·ft). Each has a dual N.m and lbf.ft scale and comes with the option of ¾ inch or 1 inch square drive. All models are also available in “P Type” form with no setting scale and tamper resistant adjustment for use on production lines. There is even a 550 N·m “torque handle” version for use with Norbar’s range of open end and ring end fittings.

Every Industrial wrench is supplied with a calibration certificate traceable to Norbar’s own UKAS accredited laboratory to satisfy the requirements of an ISO 9000 quality assurance system.

Even with all its advantages, the Norbar Industrial Wrench is extremely well priced and easy to maintain. With its popularity still increasing, its future looks assured.
