Torque wrench loaders form an important component of the professional torque wrench calibration system. They improve the consistency of calibration by reducing variations that will occur naturally between different operators and even the same operator at different times. They load the wrench horizontally, in accordance with the ISO standard – something that is very difficult to achieve by hand. Finally, they dramatically reduce the manual effort required to perform torque wrench calibrations.

Norbar’s new TWL1500 loader overcomes two of the barriers that have traditionally prevented customers from introducing a loader into their torque wrench calibration system. The first is that the TWL1500 is, by a significant margin, the lowest cost torque wrench loader that Norbar has ever offered.

The second is that the TWL1500 is compatible with a wide range of Norbar’s instruments and transducers. Customers with an existing calibration system but wishing to gain the advantages of a loader, in most cases can now do so while retaining their transducers and torque display instrument.

The TWL1500 is, of course, directly compatible with Norbar’s modern range of high accuracy ‘Flange Mounted Transducers’ and also with ‘Professional Torque Tester’ and the immensely popular but now obsolete ‘TWA’ series. Adaptors for all of these products are included in the price.

With appropriate transducers fitted, the TWL1500 can test torque wrenches of up to 1500 N·m and up to 1500 mm in length. The ultra smooth loading action makes light work of high torques and the robust construction will give many years of trouble free operation.
