Norbar Torque Tools Ltd takes testing and calibration seriously. As well as being the first torque equipment manufacturer to have an in-house NAMAS calibration laboratory, it manufactures a complete range of accurate and easy to use torque testing and calibration instruments.
In order to increase the capacity and flexibility of its testing facilities it has designed and built a five-station torque tool tester. This accurate and versatile instrument is being used for a wide range of applications.
Each of the five spindles can be used independently or together to test a range of devices from 20 N·m to 1500 N·m, making it suitable for use with the company's complete range of torque wrenches and ratchets, plus the most popular gearboxes and transducers.
The five station capacity dramatically reduces the time taken to make comparative tests when calibrating a range of torque tools. It is used regularly in the development and quality environments, for example in the endurance testing of tools by cycling them at full torque.
The tester was designed 'in-house' and uses transducers and gearboxes from the Norbar range in its manufacture. In regular use for sometime, it has already clocked up millions of cycles - testament to the quality, strength and reliability of these components.
Torque measurement is a serious business and Norbar Torque Tools is always looking for ways to improve the quality and performance of its products. Investing in equipment like the innovative five-spindle torque tester ensures that its products consistently meet the highest standards to ensure quality equipment with traceable, reliable calibration.
