Calibration Beam; Radius Ended, Unsupported, 10 - 1500 N·m

Calibration Beam; Radius Ended, Unsupported, 10 - 1500 N·m
Model shown: 100 N·m Radius Ended Calibration Beam

Designed to remove potential sources of measurement error, these beams can be used to calibrate Norbar torque transducers, and torque transducers from other manufacturers (where design permits), as well as mechanical test devices. Traceable length certificate is provided with each beam.

Product's part number:  21428

10.0 - 1500.0 N·m

    Technical Specification
  • Torque Radius: 1000 mm
  • Weight: 25.42 Kg
  • Square Sizes: 1/2", 3/4", 1"
  • Cable Radius: 1.56 mm
  • Beam Radius: 998.44 mm
  • Clearance: 1120 mm
  • Dimension X: 2200 mm
  • Dimension Y: 200 mm
    Features
  • Clockwise and counter-clockwise operation.
  • No bearings to cause energy loss during loading.
  • Torque radius maintained throughout +/-8 degrees of rotation from horizontal.
  • Balanced to maximise energy transfer to transducer during loading.
  • Machined to +/-0.01% (100 microns per metre) from aircraft alloys.
  • Test Disc now capable of SI or Imperial Calibrations.
  • Radius Ended Beams have interchangeable square drives to increase flexibility of use.
  • Test Disc compatible with male and female 1/4" transducer drives.
  • Radius Ended Beams offset to bring plane of loading within transducer and so reducing bending moments.
  • High torque radius accuracy allows use of cast iron weights rather than stainless steel. Weight accuracy is required to be equal to or better than +/-0.01%.
  • A temperature controlled environment is essential for use of these beams. The selection of weights will be influenced by gravitational constant and air buoyancy values at the proposed laboratory site. Please contact Norbar or your distributor for further details.
